Freshman third baseman Steven Esteves received the WWE championship belt that’s presented to the player of the game at the end of each competitive outing for Los Amigos. The belt stems from head coach Aaron Pines’ love for WWE as Pines has been a fan since the pro-wrestling days of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Ilda Trujillo, cook and server at El Pollo Ranchero restaurant in Santa Ana for 23 years said the most difficult aspect of working at the restaurant during a pandemic was adjusting to a new system of health & safety protocols. Business was slow and money was tight when the restaurant reopened but it’s improved slowly since. “Before the pandemic, I think we didn’t value what we had,” Trujillo said. “We didn’t value our jobs or the people around us.
